My quest for color.

Is your test kit good? Are you reading any nitrite which can cause an unusually high nitrate reading?

Thanks. I was ok with it as I am getting decent colors.

Yep. I have been watching them trend up over a month. I'm waiting for the 8 liters of matrix to start kicking in.

My 20+ liters haven't done anything yet but I'm clueless on what flow rate to set, any pearls of wisdom? Thanks:)

How long has your reactor been online? Have you measured the output for n03?

At first I ran it very slow like a drop per second for several days with no reduction, then I sped it up a bit to a slow stream with no reduction, I need to recheck nitrate level again. My tank nitrate was 44-50 before my last 225 gallon water change.

Well my nitrates aren't dropping at all. I haven't been able to get my denitatrator to even kick in. I'm wondering if the recirculating pump shot craps? My corals don't seem to be effected much though. I am not keeping up with demands. I am pumping 90 ml per minute through my calcium reactor which is at 6.7 ph. My alkalinity is down to the high 4s. I will be dosing it higher over a couple weeks.
