ok so I just got redbugs. and my new system is finally ready, my plan is to move all of my lps/montis over to the new system(after a TMPCC dip) and leave the acros in the old system, and after the 3 interceptor treatments I will move the acros over, is there a chance I will have redbugs make it into the new system?

Yes, Red bugs can hitchhike on anything from one tank to another. While it's thought that they only infest Acropora, they can be on any coral.

Why not just leave all the coral in while treating? There is no real harm to corals and there might be a chance of carrying some over into the new system on another coral. A risk that's not really needed :).

I would do the whole tank. I have not seen any bad effects other than a few large pods dying. My maxima clam has looked better after treating then ever before, and the emerald crabs I couldnt catch made it thru the treatment.

I would treat the whole tank with all the corals in it I wouldn't take a chance of transfering the redbugs to the new tank. I did the 3 treatments of interceptor and had no ill effects.

are snails ok? I got out as many as I could but I would estimate there to be about 50 left, and if it kills the hermits thats a + in my book:lmao:
