my red bugs and interceptor experience on a 300 gallon

so they quit making this stuff over a year ago i guess but i was able to find it from a vet pretty easily when i told them what i needed it for. i got the 50-100 lb dog ones.

i dissolved one pill in rodi water and tossed it in the sump. i have probably 300 gallons after displacement and adding my sump water.

after about an hour i could still see redbugs, but not moving, 6 hours and they were gone. a week later there was no sight of them anywhere. i dosed again to make sure and wont be doing a third probably.

there has been a lot of questions on what dies and what doesnt. so what i can tell you is that in a 300 gallon tank big inverts do not die. i have two skunk cleaner shrimp that lived, two fire shrimp that lived, one coral banded that lived.

NO snail, starfish, fish, coral, ect died. i even have a blue linkia that was acting like nothing happened.

however ALL of my hermits died, they were only little blue legs though. if the first dose didnt get them the second one did. and honestly i dont like hermits anyways. they seem to always have a new shell that i doubt the snail in it died on its own.

my pods may have taken a hit, but there were so many i dont think it mattered. they still had plenty of survivors to repopulate. i even see mysis still swimming around.

this stuff works great.
