My tank is pink! ?...!

Last night I swaped out my old 10k and actinic bulbs for the new ones for the seagrass tank. I got 2x 50/50 10k/actinic and 2x Colormax 6700k. I was expecting yellow, but my tank is pink! :eek1:

It's very funny. I am sure they will burn in a bit and I will get used to it, but what a shock!

On the upside, my clowns a glowing neon orange. :bigeyes:

Which brand of bulbs did you use? PC, VHO, T-8 or T-5 setup?

Hee hee. Yeah, Steve saw the tank last night right after I dropped in about 5 pounds of Southdown sand. It settled out in a few hours.

I have a 4x65w PC setup. I don't recall the brand of the 50/50 bulbs (Marine Depot part #PC5655), but the 6700k are Coralife "ColorMax" bulbs. (Marine Depot part #PC5659)

Pics when I get a chance; as mentioned above it was in no shape for pics last night!

I think 6700k for pc is supposed to be pink and 7100k is the blue actinic.

6700k is supposed to be yellow - it must be the ColorMax part.

7100k is blue; actinic 03 is blue-r.

the colormax is what makes the bulb look pink... i thinks its for freshwater

ColorMax is supposed to be a daylight spectrum bulb -- which I need for the biotope. I'm not upset, just very, very surprised!

I wonder if the clownfish are looking at each other and wondering why they are a different color?

It has nothing to do with being pink, but here's the new goby tank aquascaping. Seagrass to be added, just as soon as I have some settled in a growing that can be "fragged."
