my torch's tentacles are turngin white

When I originally got it, the tentacles were brown/green w. yellow/green tips. Lately it is turing white. Why is that? Everything else in my tank is looking fine. Maybe it is ok, but I am afraid it is not doing well. Also, when I hear people taking aout feeding thier LPSs, what are they referering to?

If it's turing white then the polyps of your lps is loosing zooxanthelae. This is usually due to either stress or above par lighting. You can try move the coral lower in your tank to see is a less intense lighting helps. Check your tank to see if anything is bothering your lps to make it spill our its zooxanthelae, Tangs are especially known to do that so they can eat the phyto spill of the corals.

Bleaching

Like everyone has said it is most likely bleaching, a list of your parameters would also be of great help so we can determine if it is in fact the lighting or if something else with your water is stressing it out.

I spot feed all of my LPS 3x a week with meaty foods including silversides, squid, table shrimp and also I feed brine shrimp cyclopeeze and prime reef flake every now and then. I thaw it out then about 15-20 minutes after my main lights go out, so just the actinics are on, that's when I feed. I suck up the food into a turkey baster and lightly spray the food over the tentacles of my trumpets, candycanes, pineapple brain, frogspawn, fungia plate, hairy mushroom and rics.
