About a two months ago in my reef tank I saw my first of these. At first I was curious and didn't immediately take it out of the tank; now I have a hundreds of them.

They mostly live on the glass. They are brown and transluscent except for a red blotch on one end. They are thin and resemble somewhat of a square. When I sucked one out of the tank and put it on a piece of white paper for the photography it started swimming around. It pulsed in order to propel itself. Normally they attach to the glass at two places on their body. The bodies average around 1/8 of an inch long.

I'll have pictures soon.

Sounds like you have flatworms. I would try manually removing them asap. Then suck any you see at every water change until they are gone. You can also try flat worm exit, but be aware when they die they release toxins into your tank. HHH
