Mystery rotifer deaths

I got up this morning to find that all the rotifers in one of my larval tanks had died, the larvae are fine. I have 5 tanks going, all get the same water and are maintained identically. This only happened in one tank. It has happened once or twice before also. Any thoughts?

I cannot think of one possible thing that was done any differently with that tank than with the others. In the past if a larval tank got wiped out the larvae were dead too, in this case the rots all died but the larvae (P. fridmani ) are fine.

Thick brown carpet on the bottom of the tank, I siphoned them all out.
Very strange. I have a tank that no matter what I put in it, everything dies. Keep meaning to toss it, but always talk myself out of it.
Does that sound familar? Has it happened before?
Or worse; the fry decided to redecorate and like the look of a brown carpet.

OK, that was just a test, I can't post to another thread and I thought RC was down. I'm confused

This is weird, I am trying to post a response to my 400 oc thread and everytime it says "server can't be found", but other threads are working fine.

EDIT... I don't understand how RC works !!!! I can't even delete THIS post  Somehow my other post is there now, I am Sooooo confused :(
