Mystery Snail

Hello. For the past 11 months I have been establishing my 50 gallon marine tank. After purchasing some live rock I found that a little brittle star had snuck his way into the rock. Now I have 5 of the little guys from that one little hitch hiker. Among that guy I also found a pink thing on my filter while I was cleaning, it started to move so I plopped it back in the tank and I think this is what that thing grew up to be. I over the next 9 months I watched it grow and now he has a shell, tentacles, pink body, purple (ish) shell, white eyes, and the month of a snail.

Does anybody know what this 'thing' is?

We're going to need better pictures, preferably from directly above it.
Mini brittle stars are likely micro brittles, a harmless species of detritivore.

Pics from the top would certainly help, but I think it's a Stomatella. You can search the forum or do a web search for images, I bet you find a match!

Cheers,

Don
