Mystery SPS

[Big Goose]

At the Nashville Frag Swap, I bought a purple SPS with Green Tips. The Polyups are so small the coral looks "slick"

It is a deep purple but is Iridescent where the MH hit it.

It is a fast grower. I had several small frags but all but one broke off and are in the rocks somewhere.

Any guesses?

You cannot really tell what species of SPS a frag belongs to from the looks of it. Do you remember who you got it from? The person may be able to tell you what it is.

It's very pretty, Goose, but I don't think anyone can id the species from that.

It looks like my A. valida actually. Mine doesn't have green tips but that doesn't mean it wouldn't in your tank. I have no actinic supplements, so the color may just not come out as much.

It's Acropora but there's no way to say whether it's A. valida.
