At the Nashville Frag Swap, I bought a purple SPS with Green Tips.

The Polyups are so small the coral looks "slick"

It is a deep purple but is Iridescent where the MH hit it.

It is a fast grower. I had several small frags but all but one broke off and are in the rocks somewhere.

I do not remember who I bought it from but it could have been Mel.

Most people "NEED INPUT" to quote an old movie, but we "NEED PICTURE". That's really the only way you can get a positive ID :D
Beg, barrow, or steal a camera, and post a pic. "INPUT" guaranteed to follow, it will be up to you to decide who is correct :)

It looks like my A. valida actually. Mine doesn't have green tips but that doesn't mean it wouldn't in your tank. I have no actinic supplements, so the color may just not come out as much.

I thought I bought it from you but was not sure. Sorry for the fuzzy picture.

Photo taken under 20K MH but is nearly the same color under 15k (just changed bulbs- got 400w 20K for $17 + ship on EBAY)

I can't remember but it was not one of the "household" names.

The lamps had a thicker glass than my XM's and was very clear. It might have been german because that was the first language on the box.

With shipping it was less than $27.00 each.

The reason I bought them is that I wanted to try 20k (and glad I did) and at that price it was worth the risk.

I might order two more and pack them away until next year.
