I have a 12 gallon aquapod, can i use the nano cube stand for my 12 gallon aquapod? i like the looks of the nanocube stand better. Is it good qaulity, and stirdy? or am i better off building something myself.

Thanks,

Jeff

I prefer to build my own because I can't stand to bend over and stare into the tank.
For larger tanks I usually go 40-46'' high, but for nano's I build them 60''s high.

It is waayy cheaper and a better overall idea to simply build your own stand. I built mine with 2x4's and fiberboard. I cost about 20 bucks to build and will hold 10x the wieght of any pre-manufactured stand. Most pre-fab stands use particle board only, with small traingular particle board braces and plastic brackets, yes these will hold the weight but barely. Go with 2x4's for strength and use deck screws to fasten them together, then just wall up the box of 2x4's with fiberboard or plywood. When your stand is put together a larg adult should be able to stand on it and jump up and down.

WOW, impressive, you wouldnt happen to have a walkthrough of that build. I am going to upgrade to a 90 or 120, and am considering building my own stand.

The outer shell is just pine 1/2'', but the frame is 2''x4''s and 2''x6''s.

I get an idea for a build but change it ten times before I finish and then end up with something like you see in my last post.
It's a little different then what I first planned, but I'm still fairly happy with the design.
