nano for me too.....

ok, so long story short, I am going to convert my son's 7g mini bow into a nano. Its got a power filter, and heater now, and I am going to get a small PH to throw in there too. So my question is, If I add 7g of fresh SW, and say 10# of cured LR, will it cycle? I have no problem waiting 6 weeks, I am just curious if it will cycle or not. Also has anyone tried the nano in tank skimmers? they're like $20 bux.

Livestock will be a pair of clowns, and some softies, mainly shrooms, and zoa's. I plan on changing out the fixture for some PC's but that will be a little later down the road.

No need for a skimmer in a tank that small. Just do a small weekly WC. Maybe 1/2 gallon a week. Cycling may or may not happen. Cured live rock may still have die offs when introduce to a new tank and water. Id wait to be on the safe side. Stocking sound like a plan. My wife had a 3 gallon mini when she still had an office job. It did really well. She had to break it down when she got laid off.

stay away from the current fission nano skimmer..........total junk! trust me i know personally. You can even ask over on the nano reef forum. But i agree with deuce no need just do water changes!

clowns might be to big. id get neon gobies or something, maybe even a scorpion/ wasp fish. or a frog fish
