Nano Of The Month

Hi everyone,

I know there are several people with Nano tanks in here and I just wanted to steer people towards a little contest we have going on in the Nano Forum.

We are trying to start a Nano of the Month to go along with the Tank of the Month.

It is meant to be a fun way to highlight Nano's and to see what can be done in these setups.

If you would like to see some good looking Nano's check out:

Basic Rules-

The winner of the November vote will start a thread and everyone can enter a full tank shot to qualify for the December Nano Of The Month. The November winner will pick a Top 10 and make a poll just like what is done now, after 2 weeks the voting closes and we crown a December winner.

It will hopefully continue on like this so no one person really controls this, rather it's a community thing.

Hope everyone enjoys.

I nominate your tank, I can't believe how far its come since you started! You really should post some shots here so the others can see it.

I second DragonFish! I love seeing your nano develop and your castoffs always look fantastic in my tank:D ! You have great taste in coral and fish!

Tom

That's why I need to get a second tank, to cut down on castoffs.

Just wait until next Wendsday, I just spent $300 on zoa's this week, they should all be here Tuesday and my tank will officially be worth more than my car :)

When you are ready to frag, let me know. The CFO is loosening her purse strings.

I also, need to stop by and see them!

I cannot wait to see your tank with all those! It is a future Nano of the month winner for sure!

So Wednesday it is. Colin, I will hold you to that. Can't wait to get up there soon.

Great thread and I bet that was hard to pick.

:)

Don't forget to bring your brother in law next time you visit the boonies, I need to make some more room again, if a fish poops it lands on a coral :)

I am getting a second tank this weekend and will move my zoa's to that. It will clear up quite a bit of space on the sandbed.
Haven't decided if I should make it a full growout tank or a hybrid. My idea is having the bottom aquascaped like a regular tank and then have an eggcrate top shelf for zoa growout.
Figure my blasto's & candycanes can go in that along with my jerk of a clown since the blasto's and candycane don't need a ton of light. Then I could keep the NC for a softie tank.

Does anyone know what eggcrate is called at Home Depot and what section it can be found in? I think it's in the lighting section but I could be wrong and don't want to look like an idiot at HD.

Hi Colin,

I have seen it at HD listed as both light diffuser or eggcrate. You can find it in the lighting section as DragonFish said.
