Hello everyone I am new here and glad to have found you all and people who are into the same Hobbies, I am getting ready to setup a new (for me) approx 110 Gallon reef tank and got a Nautilus Ex Protein skimmer with this tank and was wondering if anyone is using one and if you have some pictures of how you hooked yours up. I will be setting up a overflow with sump under the tank and just looking for ideas, Im thinking I will Probably need two pumps for this setup one for the skimmer and one to return to the tank unless someone has a better idea, Thanks ahead for the imput

I'd return the Nautilus and get something else, or if you can't afford something nicer right now put it in the piggybank for a few months until you can.

You can always t off your return line and feed a skimmer. However that skimmer is 100% useless it will not pull out any skimmate at all. It's just waste of space in your sump and money if you paid for it. For a 110 take a look at the Octopus skimmers. They have the cone skimmers and everything that is latest technology and works well. They are very reasonably priced as well.

yeah this one was just with the tank and sump when I got it used so was wondering haven't really seen any good reviews on it. I did see and checked out a skimmer i think by sea side aquatics CS8 with an internal pump for about 200 and it will definitely help with the limited space I have in this sump. what do you guys think of those.

cool thanks Ill check it out and yeah been doing fresh water for years and have a few full eco systems running with fish I have a 10gallon nano I am taking down almost completed my 60 gallon nano reef and getting ready to do a 110 gallon or so in wall for the living room should be fun, and expensive isn't the word but man seeing it completed makes it all worth it, I love seeing the pictures of some of the reefs members have its inspirational and all too cool.
