The absentee ballot for email voting is now available.
If you will not be attending the swap and NCPARS meeting on May 6 2006, you may vote for the board of directors by email absentee ballot. You may vote for someone on the current slate of nominees, or you may write in a name of someone you expect to be nominated at the meeting. In addition to the nomination committee slate, Rick Pucciarella (Rickyfins) has indicated that he will be seeking floor nominations for vice-president, vice-president of public affairs, secretary, and at-large director. There could be other nominees on the day of the meeting. All candidates must be seconded at the NCPARS meeting.
Eligibility : To vote you must be a 2006 member of NCPARS. If you joined for 2006 at a 2005 swap, you are a 2006 member already and can vote. Or, if you want to become a 2006 member, you may mail your 2006 dues to us postmarked by Friday May 5, notify us that you have done so, and you can vote.
Directions:
1. Cut the text below and paste it into your email program. Fill in the information with your name and email info. This is important so we can contact you in case of questions about your membership or ballot.
2. To vote for someone who you expect to be nominated on the floor, type in a new name.
3. To vote for just one listed candidate, put a ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œ1ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ or ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œXââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ next to the name of the candidate you are voting for.
4. Because voting is sequential, you may vote for more than one candidate in order by putting a ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œ1ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ for your most preferred, ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œ2ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ for second most, etc. Then, if someone you put a ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œ1ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ on for some office has already been elected to a ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œhigherââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ office at the meeting, then your ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œ2ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ vote will be examined, and so on, until all of your votes have been examined.
5. Email your completed ballot to vote@ncpars.org. Your ballot will go to was16803, nixnutz, and poconofishy who have volunteered to process and check ballots. They will bring the information to the swap to be added to in-person votes. None of these individuals are running for a board position; was16803 was on the board but will not be next year.
