Need a good Aquatic Plant

I was wondering if any of you guys knew a plant that snails, hermits, tangs and a foxface wouldn't pick at. My has some chaeto but I would like a plant in my display tank. Is the Halimeda plant any good? I don't think many snails or fish will eat this. I originally wanted a man groove but my tank if 24" deep.

Halimeda is a good one. Laurencia is a translucent red with a knobby texture that is pretty safe too. Many cualerpas are unpalatable, but can be pests or may release toxins. Codium is easy to grow, and it has a nice green velvet texture. Botryocladia is another red. One key is to find algae that calcifies growth.

grape caluerpa?

I've never grown grape, but I hear it's a horribly fast grower. I do have some caulerpa prolifera. It's easy to remove from rock and sand by pulling the runners, and none of my tank inhabitants eat it. I dont have any large herbivorous fish. The blades add a nice texture to the display as well. I've never had it go asexual, but I have read it can.

I think my foxface would eat any caulerpa within a day. I have some growing in my sump but I Dont worry about it going sexual because it eats it upon entry to the display.
