Need a little help

I have noticed something going on with my green montipora (branching Montipora digitata). It only seems to be effecting that coral but all the pieces of that coral, some of the branches seem to be shifting in color, some of the polyps are no longer coming out and only the last few inches of each branch seem normal. I'd post a pic but am at work... anyone have any ideas.

I do have a purple branching monti and it is not effected at all.

How long have you had it and how long as it been in that location?

The original colony has been there for about 14 months, the frags are anywhere from a week to months old and usually once they are mounted they stay in there respective spots (higher and lower in the tank). I have one frag of it that is almost the same size as the mother colony.... what is very odd is all of the green monti's are doing it....

have you ever seen them go through a reproduction period? This is just a thought I had and I'm reading some information about that right now. I know some SPSs go through this at the same time and that is the reason I was looking at this.
