I have a nano tank and in need of a micro chiller.
My tank is 10G or 38L.
Any suggestions?
I'm on a budget too!!:smokin:

I believe nanocostums carry a couple of the nano chillers for under 300.
JBJ launched a nanochiller called the nano-artica i think its a 1/20

They look cool and seems to be great chillers but $300 is out of my price range.
Maybe a DIY chiller?? any suggestions??

have you tried a fan? you would be amazed at how much it drops the temp. the only drawback is that evaporation increases which means more top offs.

try a 120mm computer fan wired up to a variable voltage power supply. If thats not enough, order and iceprobe and controller. Both should easily come out to under 200$ . Cheaper if you find one used on ebay.

Pacific Coast has a small thermoelectric chiller/heater that's a bit over $200.00 in the states. Or you could mount and Ice Probe unit in a power filter.

Here's one I mounted in a Hagen AC Mini.

Thanks for all the help and input guys!!!
Hrmm I got untill probably November untill temps her in AUS gets a little too hot.
Can anyone tell me if the ice probe is available in 240V??

you never did tell us what it is running and and how much do you need to drop temp's?
Is it open top what kind of lighting or anything like that.
if its and open top then a nice cheap fan will do wonders.

My tank does have a hood and the light its running is PC. It's got 2 fans in the hood.
I'm not so worried now but would like to source out a chiller sooner rather then later.
It can get pretty hot here in Sydney and were in a drought crisis. New years day temp this year was 45C or 113F!!!! So I think a fan would not really help in that case.
Would nano custom chillers come in 240V?? to be use here in AUS??
