Arag Alive Hawaiian Black Reef Sand

Thanks george

I have seen it in a few tanks and always thought it looked cool but never tried it myself. Just crag a cup from another reefer to seed it.

Hey George.. make sure it's true black. If I remember correctly the arag alive "black" sand isn't particularly black, it's sort of a weird white/black sand mix. That always looked kind of dirty to me. I used the Tahitian Black moon sand in my tank and it's beautiful, it's not live but in my opinion it's worth the trade off. :) how've you been? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever.

The marketed "Live Sand" does look dirty(white/black) but all sand with some live rock will become "Live Sand". I had black sand (I think moon sand) in my mantis tank and it looked nice but also my tank looked dirty at times because any time the sand would kick up and rest on the rock it made the rock look dirty. After having it Id personally stay away. Just my .02

i ran the tahitian moon stuff for a while. it scratches glass *very* easily if it gets caught in a mag scraper. looks great for a few months then looks kinda trashy with various sediment and bits & pieces that accumulate in it.
