Need advice on setting up a 180

Its going to be all sps. What king of lighting set up do you recommend and should i do sea swirls or tunzes? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of people use 3*250 MH with some atinics (VHO) for a tank that size, but people who want to run higher K bulbs (20K) sometimes use 400's. T5 is also an option but I know nothing about those lights.

I would go tunezes if I had the cash, I really like them, low power draw, tuns of flow.

Do you plan to have sand? that could effect your flow choices.

I'm putting together a 180 as we speak. Can you drill it for a closed loop? I have 2 closed loops on Oceanmotions because I don't like the look of the Tunzes. But they (Tunze) are definately the best bang for the buck as far as wattage, and make killer waves with the controller.

I am a big fan of light - I've got 2x 400se Reeflux 12k and 2x 250de xm 10k, supp w/ VHO superactinics. 10ks are only on for 1 hr.

Check ou that Tunze Wavebox. I think it could do some great things on a 6 footer.

Look at my signature line. I don't think I would go with DEs if I started again - some corals seem to bleach and my photoperiod is only 4 hours of MH. Try to keep the rockwork low and open for flow.
