i currently have a jebo 520 skimmer i bought for 100, i now have an oportunity to buy a ASM G2 skimmer for $140 with pump,

does the brand of skimmer make big different? is jebo a bad skimmer since it's way cheaper? someone told me that my coral will not do well under jebo skimmer, do u think i should buy the ASM G2 ? is there any major different between those skimmer?

How does your Jebo perform? Good skimmate? I think the way the thing works is more important than the name or price. Lets face it, lots of things in our hobby are priced way above their reasonable value.

Considering the sedra pump would cost you $95.00 I would say $140.00 is a steal. I would buy it just to have around as a spare for that price.

is $140 a good deal for a ASM G2 used ???? is really rated up to 200 gallon?

I wouldn't use a G2 on anything larger then a 100gal. But in anycase it will out perform the Jebo anyday of the week. I wouldn't even put them in the same class.

I just found this ad on the recycler if the price is for real go with the G3

JBJ Nano Cube 12-DX with stand $190 + tax ASM G2 and G3 Skimmers $210 and $235 + tax 1/10 Pacific Coast Chiller for 130-gal $310 + tax 1/3 JBJ Chiller $750 + tax George 818-370-9778 george@aquatanks4u.com

If you would have put this in the DIY forum there would be some people backing up the JEBO as some have successfully swaped pump+Recircmodd+Cup Mod. More work but its def. cheaper.

What pump is your ASM coming with? Why so cheap?

Samuel, what kind of mod did you do to your ASM? I have a G2 and it doesn't produce alot of skimmate, but coiuld it be because I don't have many fish? I have some corals, but nothing real big.
