need advice on stand

I was wondering if u guys know where I could find a good stand for my 55g tank. But not necessarily from a lfs, and tall enough for a sump

IMO not to bring you down but a stand for a 55 gallon 12" deep tank is gonna be hard to fit any sump under there ....you will definitely have to go custom stand and you are probably better waiting for the next $1.00 a gallon sale and buy a tank thats 12" deep to make a custom sump.....I'm sure some will agree ...its not hard to make all of this there are plenty of good people on here that can help

+1 on the custom. It is just 2X4 and it is extremely easy to do. However, if you want something that looks nice with your house, you will need to go a bit further and make it pretty.

I know I couldn't go with just the plain stand in my case as my wife would have given me so much crap about how it looks plain, but you may not have that problem.

As a plan B, you can call faois. They may be able to get you something that both looks good and fits your needs for a reasonable price.

Yeah u guys are right. I'm just gonna have to build something. To build it I think won't b too hard. It's the making it look good part that worries me. Lol I'm Ann electrician not a carpenter. But I'll give it my best. Thank u guys
