need advice please

i have had a blue hippo tang for about 3 months now .
it started getting white spots on him. my blue stripe goby
been trying to clean him. still not looking good. i got a QT
i am about to put him in there. thinking of doing a fresh water dip first and i have never done one. any advise might help me like how long i should dip or any other helpful advice

FW dips are not considered an effective ich treatment ... can remove some of the parasites but they often bury themselves deep within the fish and are not effective. The two effective methods of treating ich are hypo salinity and copper - please read the ich sticky posts at the top of the forum.

Lastly ... since your show tanks now infected you will need to leave your show tank without fish for about 5 weeks in order to eliminate ich in that tank. I suggest you QT and treat all fish (whether they show signs of ich or not).
