I am trying to raise tomato clownfishes. Do not have good results..
After 2 months I have a green water suply and a rotifer culture with about 20-3o rotifers /ml.
But first I have one problem. My tomatos lay the eggs in the same rock where the anemone is..
So the first time they hacth in the main tank and whas a terrible work to get the larvae.
Which method is the better to cacht the larvae? the swim fast and see my hand when ai try to cacht.
Te next 4 times I took the rock away and put it in the breeding tank, the night I think the will hacth. Te nedd 11-12 days to hacht.
What do you recomend? get the rock away or try to get the larvae in the display tank and how?
Second what is the best time to wait to fedd them? and how much?
any help will be apreciated.

If you can get the rock away without the anemone, you can move it to the tank you want to keep the larvae in, and keep a stream of air bubbles from an air stone going very near the eggs, to keep them moving, but not hitting the eggs. It is best to do this the day you expect the eggs to hatch that night. They will hatch after dark.

If you cannot remove the eggs, you can get the larvae to collect using a small flashlight at the top of the tank. Then try to scoop them out with a cup. It is best to turn off powerheads and pump so there is no current in the tank. Transfer the larvae to their own tank and then turn the pumps back on in the parent's tank.

Hope this helps. I have not tried to catch larvae before, so I do not know really how to do it. Others do this regularly, so hopefully, one of them will respond with a good method for you.

Feed them in the morning. 8-15 rotifers per ml. Add live phytoplankton to make the tank slightly cloudy. Check in late afternoon to see if you need to add more.

Use room lighting or something that is not very bright. If the larvae go nose down to bottom of the tank, decrease light intensity until they swim in the water.
