I've noticed my one clown has come down with brooklynella. He's currently in a 15 gallon column tank with 10lb live rock and 10lb live sand. He doesnt look like he's going to make it. What are my options now? Should I let the tank run fallow for 8+ weeks? Or should I just break down the tank and let it dry and start over? I also have 5 hermits and 1 emerald crab in the tank as well. Thanks in advance!

Is it still eating? Try live brine, or flake food. Clowns tend to like that . I've had clowns with bad brook and I've seen them come back.

I've tried mysis and pellets, I will try to feed him some flakes. He was eating well around 2 days ago, unfortunately it looks like the slime has spread from his gills to the tail. Any idea what would be the best way to get the parasite out of my tank? I was planning on going fallow. Due to the tank being only 15 gallons, would it just be easier to just to break it down and clean everything and start over?

Fresh water dip the clown. Look up how to do it. Usually clears it but find out what caused it. Changes in Temp are a common cause especially in a tank that small

Fresh water dipped the clown, all the parasites were coming off of him. When I put him back into the tank, he started darting everywhere. 30 mins later he passed. :sad2: I guess I should just let my tank run fallow for 8 weeks and hope that the parasite dies.
