I just got in my new RS80 EuroReef. I am setting up a new tank, and right now, I am just running freshwater in it to make sure I have all my overflows, sump, return, etc, running correctly before I add salt to the water. I just put the RS80 into the sump and turned it on. It is just blowing some big bubbles into the body, but no fine bubbles microbubbles. The water in the body is only going about 3/4 up the body, and not even near the neck. Do I have it set up wrong or can it not run in freshwater? I have the exhaust outlet pipe just above the waterline like it says, but it didn't change anything.

thanks, I will have to try it again after I get salt, sand and rocks in the water. I was just trying to make sure I have all my plumbing done correctly. I did find the adjust the the venturi and open/close pipe did raise and lower the water level. I am sure I will get it figured out.

I tried the same thing, but once its in SW it will make many a small bubbles.
