Need help ASAP New to the hobby tank cycling.....weird stuff growing

Hey guys new to the hobby I have a 75 gallon tank and I'm tank has almost been cycling for a week and just yesterday I noticed something on the rock, now today it has gotten worse does anyone know what this is??? Please help

It looks like a bacteria mat. Fairly normal, it should go away with time. Increased flow will help eliminate it. If you want you can use am tooth brush to brush it off.

Ok makes sense BC all the rock I put in was dry rock. I've been adding this stuff called micro bacter to the tank to help with the cycle, as far as flow Ive got a jebao wave maker on its way, will that help? I just got worried BC one of crabs died but my friend thinks another ate him

Agree its part of the normal bacteria... and agree increased flow will help. Good advice above

It's a bacterial mat. Totally normal.

Agree with everyone it's a bacteria bloom snotty slimy crap , and it will pass, slowly but will go away on its own. I just went thru it. New tank myself prob 2 months in and my tank is a little cloudy still but no more snot on rocks or sump. Give it time. And if down the road it keeps coming back and tank still cloudy add a UV sterilizer, there are a couple thread on here about it.
