Hi everybody,

I recently built a new tank its aproximately 60 gallons. I just transfered over the inhabitants of my old tank. Here's what I've got now.

Gold Stripe Maroon Clown
Adult Convict Goby
Yellow Watchman Goby

I'll be keeping primarily Zoanthids, Ricordia, and Clams and possibly a few SPS in the future. Its an open top tank and I've got a decent size fuge attached. I plan on adding a Mandarin once the tank matures.

I would like to add a couple "cruising type" fish to my list. Dwarf Angels worry me because I plan on clams and most wrasses are out because its an open top tank.

What could I add to provide some color and movement to my tank?

Thanks, Nick

Those are both good choices! but Scott Michael's book say they need to be feed 3 times a day. Has that been your experience?

No, I only feed them once a day. Both of them need to be fed 3x per day? Wow. Both do pick at the rock, sand, and glass. They appear to be healthy weights.

Don't get a midas with an open top. I had eggcrate covering my tank and my midas still managed to fly through an opening and died. I have also heard of others with jumping blennies.

Unfortunately, any fish CAN jump out. There's a guy here on RC that had a dwarf lion jump :eek2: So I'm not sure that an open top should be your absolute deciding factor. I've seen my Randall's shrimp gody hit the light above my tank once when my pseudo scared it. I also had a midas blenny years ago in an open top tank for years, never jumped. And I just fed it regularly, not 3X a day.

How about a chromis (or two if you can find a pair)?

Can you place eggcrate on the top of your tank? Dwarf angels and small Wrasses are a really good idea for your size tank
