Hello I am starting first saltwater aquarium but taking it very slow. so far I have the stand, a 90 gal aquarium or 55gal (long) aquarium to use for the fish and a 15 gallon aquarium underneath I want to make into refugium for the above 90 or 55 gal saltwater aquarium and I want to have tank drilled. Also, I am DIY and know how important it is to take time so I found this wonderful site for help. I would like to have tangs but I know its important to start with a hardy fish if new to saltwater fish ( I have had many freshwater since a kid and currently have three active freshwater tanks....but I know this is more in depth but doesn't have to be hard....I just wanna ensure best lives for inhabitants). I also have two marineland powerheads and marineland pro series filter biowheel powerfilter emperor 400 up to 90 gal. So far that's all I got so I got a long ways to go and I have pics of setup plans ig can upload. plz help and suggestions for first fish as I only want one at first and I know it can take up to 6mo before even there so what would you do with the setuop idea I gave you. Should I go reef or fish only and work way up???? I just wanna do it best yet easy way for beginners I am stay at home first time father so I have finally had time to do this:-) please help and my email is a_hillz@yahoo.com as well

Don't want to sound like a jerk, but if it's not too late take the 90 back and get a 120. That extra 6" of width makes a HUGE difference. If it is too late, 90's are WONDERFUL tanks! LOL! BTW I have a 90.

thanks

thanks

no prob I appreciate any advice. yeah Imma stick with 90 gal and built stand with a 30 gal underneath for sump. So all I have is tank, stand, some marineland filters, powerheads and heaters but that's all so far besides stuff in use for freshwater tanks currently using.......yea lol, taking my time but that's a good thing;-) What I would like to please ask is what would you personally suggest to do as a beginner with this set up I am describing and can I upload pics?? Also, I plan on getting tank drilled. So wat would be easy to do and to start with fish wise and if should start fish only, coral, etc.? I have a guy to drill tank and has all the rock coral sand and every other possible way to go. I just like taking in everyones input and making my own path as to ensure the safety of the fish!
