need help from all you skimmer gurus

Well i changed over my G3 to the 150 i cleaned the pump. now it is not working right it is producing next to no bubbles. i am not sure but the pump looks like it is not moving as much water as it used too. i have had the pump apart three times. everything looks good but i am not sure what the problem is. i know it is hard to tell me without looking at it but i was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem. it is a sedra 5000 i hate to buy a new pump. i plan to buy a new skimmer in a couple of months. i do not want to spend 100 dollars on a skimmer i am going to use for a few more months.

Try throwing it! Sometimes it works for me. Especially when it's not your $900 skimmer.

ya it is mesh modded i have blown thru the tube several times and the i just blow air out the input. i just don't think the sution side feels like it is doing much.

somethings probbaly stuck in the intake. Tkae it apart. You probably have a grain of sand stuck in it.

take it out of the water turn it on and add the air
than back in the water

I have had build up sort of encrust around the nipple where the airline attaches. As soon as I stuck something in and gently cleaned around it, I actually heard and then saw the stuff the flaked off and BANG! Good as new....

Well i figured it out right before i threw it across the room. the venturi was clear and i blew throught the hose and it seemed clear but i got a new peice of hose and put it in and it started working better. it still is not skimming the way i want but i will have to let it settle down a little i had it all out of adjustment working on it. i also redid the mesh mod i think it was a little flat. thanks for all the help. you guys are lifesavers.
