Need help identifying a Mussid.

G'day guys, I spotted this coral in a fellow Aussie reefer's tank, and have been eager to get an ID. The first thing I thought when I saw this coral was that it looks like a mussid, and then I noticed how huge it is compared to the Acanthastrea lordhowensis located right next to it.

Here are the shots from zayne. These photos are his by the way, so I cant get any more photos.

Coral is located right in the centre on the bottom between the clams and the small red Acanthastrea, it is a large fleshy mussid-like coral.

Now, heres a closeup. It now has a striking resemblance to Acanthastrea.

I may even be wrong in thinking its a mussid, though all characteristics lead me to believe it is.

Thanks in advance,
Sin.

kind of looks like Moseleya latistellata (Faviidae). Here's the image from the AIMS website:

Very neat coral!!!

I was also going to suggest Moseleya.

Heres another picture of one exposed at low tide in Darwin, Australia

Faviids usually have sweeper tentacles, so I'd ask him if he has noticed any on that piece.
