Need help, is this Ich????

I want to make sure that the white spot on the side of my Vlamingi is Ich before I treat it. I have never had a fish get Ich before so I am not sure what to loof for. The fish seems to be doing fine, eats great moves fast and is very energetic. There have been no aditions or changes made to the tank for months now. Not sure what may have caused it.

I forgot to mentin but the spot seems to be bigger then what Ich is normally described as. It is 2-4 mm across and is raised from the skin. Have read that Ich is only supposed to be the size of salt grains.

Unable to see the photo.

A single spot after months of absolutely no chance of contamination would be unlikely Marine Ich (Cryptocaryon irritans) UNLESS by 'months' you mean less than 10. I don't have first hand knowledge that you've kept your tank contaminant-free, so that is up to you to verify.

Since there is no photo, I can only provide you info on Marine Ich so you can at least say that it isn't or is this one parasite.
