Need help lowering amount of bytes to use as avatar...

I have a pic that is the right size (139 x 150) but it is 42, 000 bytes...how can i lower this

What photo editing software are you using?

In many software you can set the quality of the JPG output. Lower it until you get the required size in bytes.

If you don't know how to do this I am happy to do this for you. Takes only a minute.
I will PM you with my email adress and if you like just sent the pic to me and I will return it to you imediately

If you're using an animated .gif (that *Lost* image above), it's a little more tricky to resize than a .jpg.

Did ya'll figure out how to do it?

they recommend image resizing software under the FAQ here at reef central, the program is free to use as well.
