I am looking for some help this Thursday evening moving my new tank into the basement. I need several people to help lift and maneuver it. Also, if anyone has some carpeted 2x4's or 4x6's that I could borrow I would really appreciate it. I don't know if there are any heavy duty suction cups that could help lift it, but if someone has them I would like to borrow them also. The tank is 48" x 30" X 20" and is very heavy due to the thickness of the glass. It is a rimless tank. I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks, Jeff

What time you want to move the tank.We moved a 84x24x30 into our basement recently and would be happy to help out.
I really liked that frag tank you sold a few months ago can't wait to see whay you d with the new tank.

The tank is being delivered delivered during the day. I was thinking of moving it between 5 and 6pm, but I am flexible on the time depending on when everyone is available.

I live in Rocky River. 19535 Riverwood Ave. If you are coming from the West you take 90 eest and exit at Detroit Rd. Take a Left on Detroit Rd. and go a couple of miles then take a Right on Lakeview, go a few blocks then take a Left on Riverwood Ave. pass one stop sign and pass a few more houses and the house is on the Right. It's a brick house. I was thinking of moving the tank between 5 and 6pm.

Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I wouldn't worry about the suction cups or the padded 2X4's. It took just 4 people to move my 120xl into my basement. We even had to go down 12 steps as well. Not a single scratch in the tank. You finally got the replacement tank. I bet you are really getting excited, Dan.

I am very excited. There are only about 8 steps to go down, so I think 4 or 5 people would be fine, I am just worried about getting it in the doorway and turning it sideways, and then back on an angle since the tank is wider than the door.

Thanks for everones help!!!! The tank fit like a glove! ;)
Free frags for everyone that helped whenever you want them!
I can't wait to set it up! I think I am going to start a build thread soon!
