need help on flow for a 4x2x2 tank

Hi,

I was wondering for those who have similar size tanks are using for their return and closed loop pumps. Or please give me some suggestions on what i should do to get the best overall effect for my tank.

my plan is: my return will split into 2 outputs using 3/4" pvc and the closed loop will be the same.

I have those exact dimensions.

For return: Eheim 1262 running two 3/4" SeaSwirls. An Eheim 1260 would work perfectly well and save $$ and power. If buying now, I'd try the Wavysea.

For flow: Two Vortec pumps, alternating every 10 minutes, runnning at full power. By alternating them, you insure that your corals get flow in both directions for better and more balanced growth patterns.

The Seaswirls introduce a nice random factor the the more laminar flow of the Vortecs.
