Need Help Pairing Onyx Percs

I am currently getting a Rod's onyx perc from someone at approx 1.5 yrs old. I am also getting another first linage wild onyx juv perc that only has its head strip that is approx 1 inches. They will be the first fishes that are going into my DT but first need to spend some time in QT. What is the best way to get these two to pair up.

1. Should I put them both into the QT at the same time so no one has dominance?

2. Should I put in the juv fish first into the QT and then add the larger on 1-2 wks down the road.

The other option is putting the larger one first but I have to get the smaller one this weekend.

QT tank is a 20g and I was thinking about creating a clear acrylic partition if those two dont get a long well.

I find the best success to pairing most clown species is to introduce both of them in the new tank at the same time. They are both nervous about the new tank and are attracted to each other for security. Next best would be to have the youngest introduced first (btw – this is my #1 option for maroons). Having the oldest introduced first, is the last option. You can still certainly pair that way, but if you have the ability to choose the method – I’d go the other routes.

I’ve paired hundreds of onyx percs over the years from my breeding pair. You really can’t go wrong with the first two options with these guys.
