Need Help please. Base of acropora turning brown

Hi there. The base of this coral is turning brown, or"¦.changing. Was just a little like 2 months ago but looks like slowly is taking over. Any idea what is happening and what should i do?

You sure that's an acro? Looks like a pocillapora with a dead skeleton base that has turned brown over time to me

So…it is a pocillapora, what should i do…leave it ? is it normal ? or cut the good part and re-glue it to rocks?

That's definitely not normal. What are your tank specs?

The base is dying because there isn't getting light.

I would frag those three main branches off and spread them out in non shaded areas

Thanks guys. That is what i did. Fragged it and set them in different spots.
