If anyone can help out with an ID on this little guy, that would be great!
The long and short of it is...we thought this was a black sponge on a rock when we first saw it, but then realized that it had antennae. Now that we've seen it on the glass, it looks very similar to an abalone in it's body shape and outline, but we're almost positive it doesn't have a shell. People have chimed in thinking it's a chiton, but again, the shell issue creates some confusion.
Our main concern is whether or not it is reef safe. We're always up for adding some new creatures to our tank, so long as they aren't going to do any major damage to our corals or fish.
