I have some rocks with little tiny colonial hydroids on them. What is the best way to remove them? I can't take the rocks out and boil them because I have a number of corals attached. :/ If I pluck them with tweezers, will I cause more harm than good?
ditto for me if someone can answer for us. i have two patches on opposite sides of the tank; they don't seem to be spreading badly, but i'm sure they have the potential. heard they're hard to pluck, and i, too, am unable to remove the rocks.
I have heard that aiptasia-x works well with them. I also have been told that covering them with kalkwasser paste works. The only method I have tried (it worked) was tweezers.
A method I am curious about is superglue gel. I've used this for vermetid snails aggravating my zoas so I wonder if it will work for the hydroids as well.
