Buying a new 120g. Unsure of which is the more effecient way of plumbing. Which would you pick and why. I am trying to understand the fundamnetals of plumbing.
1) Two corner over flows with drain and return drilled in the overflows. Maybe two holes each. One lower and the other in the middle or closer to the top. All plumbing under the stand for flush mount against the wall.
2) Two corner over flows with one hole drilled in the overflow. Two holes for returns drilled into the back of the tank for the other two returns. This would then not be able to flush against the wall but would stick out further due to the pvc.
If you recommend option#2, has nayone built a cover of some sort out of say 2x4 to hide the exposed plumbing behind the tank. It is not the cleanest looking install.
My LFS says to do option #2 and cut a hole through the wall into the garage and route the plumbing through the hole and place the sump and all equipment in the garage.
I need to deicide so that we can order the tank. Is one way more effecient than the other? If so, why?
Thanks
