My royal gramma of 2 years stopped eating last week and hasn't come out of its cave since. I can now see one eye is bulging out. Can anything be done to help the fish? I am not sure whats causing this. I highly doubt I can catch it to put into a quartine tank and I have a tank with inverts / coral so I can't medicate the tank.

Thanks

Sounds like trauma to the eye and probably will resolve on its own.

My Royal Gramma is still having issues. It will just lay on the bottom of the tank for 3-4 days, it has trouble swimming and then after a few days its fine again and begins eating again. Then a few days later its back to laying on the bottom. . The first two times it also had popeye but this time the eye is not bulging. This has been going on for 2 months now - the laying on bottom has happened 3 times. What can I do?

you have to try and catch the fish and separate it so that you can treat with antibiotics. popeye is usually indicative of a bacterial infection. since this has been going on so long, I suggest doing it as quickly as possible before the fish dies.
