hey all im in the process of cycling my 70 gallon aquarium but im need some live rock soon. Im not putting any coral in the aquarium. im actually putting in a volitan lionfish. a snowflake eel and a few other fish so i need enough for the eel to hide in. I also need a rio 600 pump to run my bak pak skimmer. please help me.

you could always make some..... it takes about 6 weeks to cure. Otherwise there are local people here that sell it pretty frequently. Does the guy moving to Mexico still have some?

Just remember that Lions are MESSY eaters and once you start adding more fish/eels to that mixture, your nitrates will accumulate fast. So be sure to have a really really good protein skimmer and filtration system!

I got all of my starter live rock from liveaquaria.com and after curing it for a week it was great - lots of life on it/in it and new fun stuff appearing all the time. Have fun!

once Ive got the rock what is the best way to cure the rock.

Just put it in a rubbermade container with a heater and a pump for circulation. If you have a protein skimmer use that as well. Before you put it in a display swish it around in a bucket of saltwater to rinse it from all the crap that dies off
