Need MH Advise

I have 3 400wMH on my 180 right now and I am looking to get 2 250w MH w/ luminarc III reflectors instead anyone think thats good enough I REALLY need to cut my electric down

Is that a 125g tank plus 55g sump? If that is correct you should be find with 2x 250w MH w/ luminarc.

I have 175 watt metal halides with cheesy homemade reflectors and four 6 foot vhos and have sps lps softies and clams, no problem. this is on my 180, So 250 watt halides should be plenty.

How are you gong to install the lights is it an aga or oceanic? Are you putting both in the center? You might want to do three 175s. So itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s evenly spread out. You will still see a reduction in your electric bills.

Hmmm, I have 3 x175 on my 6' 100g, a little dissapointed in the output, I'd recommend 3x250, but if your stock isnt light demanding 3x175 would be OK
