need more flow..... please help

I'd agree with that. If he has enough rock in there to break up the flow. Otherwise he'd have one nasty sand storm.

Those big seio's are so bulky!

Good morning all...
well, I borrowed a buddies rio 2100 lastnight. Not having much LR and having a deep sand bed even it started to cause a little bit of a sand storm, not much though. So I think right now I may try to find either 2 seio 620's or one 820. When I get more rock I think I will have to bump it up a bit.
I think the 2 1500's would blow the water clean out of my tank.... hahaha...

Hey man, go get two maxi-jet 1200 and two mod kits. Trust me, you will have more than enough circulation in a 55 gal. I have four mods, two tunzes, and a 3600 gph return pump for a 300 gallon and that's enough flow for me. and the mods are a hell of alot cheaper too

Last time I tried to do a Maxi Mod at the SEASL DIY meeting I coulodn't get the magnet off of the shaft. They started glueing the magnet onto the shaft. In the instructions for the MJMods you should be able to just pull if off free and easy, because the shaft used to be an oval shape and no glue was used at all. I wouldn't buy one unless you find yourself to be a very good DIY'er. You can work around the problem, but I would think a drill press would be needed in order to drill the shaft out of the center of the magnet.

PS if you have no idea what I'm talking about take some time and read the MJmods instructions before you buy.
