Need New Tank Advice Please!

Hello,
Im putting together a new system and basically going to build it around the lighting. I want to do a hanging fixture. The tank Im going to have built is a trimless starphie cube. Dimensions are 30wx30dx20 tall. Although these dimensions may change to 24dx30wx20t. Any advice on size would be greatly appreciated.
I dont want a huge overflow box in the tank. As for the light I was thinking of doing a 24" or 30" fixture with a 250 hqi and 4 t5s. I really want to go with somthing sleek and low profile like a giesemann but those are super expensive. Hoping to keep the cost around 500.00. Or do you think hanging halide hqi pendants are better. Any advice on the tank, overflow, and lighting would be greatly appreciated. As well as anyone that has any of this equipment or manuactures. I know there are some great minds on here and I would love a slice of your knowledge,,thank you in advance.

couple of things....

30 inch fixtures are almost non existant in MH and /or T-5. If you stick to the 30 inch length for the tank, look at pendants.

If you are going to stick with a 30 inch wide tank (front to back) to get the best cover you're probably looking at a lot of T-5s (8-10) or 2 pendants.

As to finding two quality MH pendants new for under 500...good luck. If that was my cap, I'd probably be cruising the used equipemnt board here.
