Need opinion on size for Peninsula tank

Hello all, I am doing a Peninsula tank in my basement that will be the edge of the kitchen/bar area.

I thought I had settled on a 150 tall... 48x24x30 tall. A 205 just came up somewhat close by that is a 60x30x22 tall. It is already setup as a Peninsula tank drilled and beanamimal overflow with an internal /external setup. I haven't drilled the 150 yet and have a ghost overflow for it.

What is your opinion on the better size? I like the height of the 150 but will the width and length of the 205 be better? I also like the fact that it is drilled and ready to go. I have an appointment with a local glass shop to drill the 150 on Monday unless the 205 would be better.

Thanks!
Todd

I don't like the measurements on either tank. That should be your clue. It is a matter of personal taste. Only you can decide what is best for you.

I'll never do anything less than 24 inches wide, and I would go wider in a heart beat if I had the room, so I'd lean towards the 205. As Dave noted, mostly personal preference.

Spend the extra money and get exactly what you want. It is already going to cost a good chunk of change to set it up and stock it; you may as well get what you want in terms of layout and aesthetics. Remember that if this is going to be a focal point of the room, it is just as important (if not more) how the tank looks in the room, as it is how the inhabitants look in the tank.
