Need Quick Help, Whats the "new version" IC ballast?

I am on my way to take a look at and likely buy a 175w Icecap MH ballast and I just saw a post where someone refered to that ballast as the "new version"


Whats the old version and what difference does it make? Is there anyway to tell when I go look at one this morning if its a new or old version?

The new version does NOT have the quick disconnect wiring harness. It has 5 wires coming from the ballast for an easy set up. It is more square in shape. The new version runs all 175MH lamps flicker free and has a built in restart circuit. I do not believe there are any of the old style ballast left on the market as they have not been manufactured in over 3 years now.
