Need Recommendations on Additional Livestock

Slats

I currently have in my 75g LPS reef:

1 x Lightning Maroon Clownfish
1 x Starry Blenny
1 x Sunburst Anthias
1 x Glass Cardinal
1 x Flame Hawk
1 x Orange Spotted Filefish

Looking to add 1 or two more fish possibly. I just can't decide/find what would be a good fit. All the tangs that I could possibly have, Kole/Tomini/Bristletooth (all the smaller tangs) absolutely do not like my Starry Blenny - been down that road once and not doing it again. Thought about a butterfly fish but it seems the consensus is they just don't live long in captivity and a 75g tank wouldn't be much help to the cause. Dward Angels, from what I've read, are really hit and miss if they will eat your LPS or not, and that's a chance I'm not willing to take.

Can anyone think of a fish type that would be a nice addition to my current livestock? One center-piece fish is what I'm after, or maybe two smaller ones would be nice.

I would say a goby. You have 2 fish that perch, a maroon which holds a territory, and 2 open swimmers. Something on the ground or in cavework would make most sense to me.

That moment when you realize you forgot to list one of your current fish :lolspin:

Already have 1 x Blue Sided Fairy Wrasse

Ive always liked a classic yellow tang

Think a yellow tang would be okay in a 75g? I've never had a yellow, would he pick on my tank mates?

I guess I've just always thought Gobys and Blennies would not get along since in my mind I would classify them as having similar dispositions.

Orange Spotted Filefish to my knowledge is NOT REEF SAFE!

on another note I like me a nice rabbit fish.

No it will not be.

I trained my Orange Spotted Filefosh to eat prepared foods in his initial quarantine tank and have had him for about 5 months now. He is one of the most aggressive eaters when it comes to feeding time, his favorites are PE mysis and brine shrimp. That said I do not have any SPS because he will most certainly eat them. Only LPS of mine he does nip at is my one acan, which I am willing to over look due to the beauty of the orange spotted.

What type of rabbit fish would you recommend for a 75g?

No it will not be.

Yeah I thought the minimum tank size for yellows is much higher than 75g.

How many time a day you feed Sunburst Anthia? Active?

Very active, I feed them all twice a day. The sunburst anthias and the glass cardinal seem to be great friends strangely enough, they follow each other everywhere.

Just be prepared if he decides to wipe it out it is a possibility.

foxface and possibly a scribbled. The scribbled can get big so be aware one day you might have to move him to a large system. I had a lot of success with a scribbled in a 75 for 5 years then moved him to a 225.

Yeah its just a frag with about 4 or 5 heads on it. If it gets in too rough of shape I will most likely throw it in the fuge and or take it back to the LFS to see if they'll do an exchange of some sort.

Looks like the One Spot Foxface meets my tanks gallons criteria, just glancing at the min size on LiveAquaria. That would most certainly be a nice addition, and their temperament is even peaceful which would do well with tank mates.

As for the scribbled, min tank size looks to be 180g (LiveAquaria) but that is warranted based on what you said about having to move to a larger tank after 5 years. What I would mostly be concerned with is that it is an angelfish that notoriously would (at least I assume) eat my fleshy LPS corals?

Yes flames and corals are hit and miss
