The "online" vendors aren't there during emergencies or willing to answer any related/unrelated question(s) you may have. Plus, like Gary mentioned, I'd bet salt (among many other things) is cheaper locally. Like a friend of mine says- "Think globally, shop locally". Support your LFS!

i get my salt from G at ABC Pets in Fairport. Oceanic, I believe. I really like it over RC...it mixes so much easier. GREAT PRICE.

Oceanic seems to be a fine product. Fine grain size dissolves quickly. Higher alk and calc allows for the IO to be used as a low cost filler. G keeps it on hand at the lowest price I know of. The only way to get it cheaper is on-line, but you gotta pay the shipping. At $0.24 gallon, the original ABC is the way to go!
