Need some help with a soft coral.

Hey guys, I recently bought a soft coral (about 2 weeks ago). Here's a pic:

I'm working on getting a closeup, there are a few branches, most them pink, but the one on the bottom right is a deep purple. The branches have tons of little stars that open up all over. Any ideas about an ID?

Anyways it's been acting really weird and I have a few questions. It seems to be open or closed at completety random times, sometimes it's in full bloom (bigger than in the picture) in full light, or or sometimes its super closed up and tiny in the light as well. Sameo with the dark. It's just completely random, or so it seems. Als, certain branches (the main pink ones) seems to beclosed quite a bit more than the purple branch, so I'm wondering if part of it has a problem or is they are two seperate "beings" acting independently.

My other question has to do with what I see on my soft coral. When it's closed up, I can see extremely thin, almost clear strands waving in the flow, a couple inches long, coming from what seems like the middle of the coral itself. Also, I can see what look like miniature bristleworms on the pink parts of it, and I can't tell if they are part of the coral or not, but they do look liek they are moving seperately.

If anyone has any answers to any of these questions, I'd greatly appreciate it!

thanks,
Cheebs.
